Smolak Farms offers engaging and educational programs for all ages, designed to connect visitors with the world of agriculture and the bounty of the harvest. Our “Farming & Agriculture” program delves into the science and sustainability behind modern farming practices, exploring everything from soil health and crop management to the challenges and rewards of bringing food from the field to our tables.
For those with a sweeter curiosity, our “Fruits & Berries” program offers a delicious journey through the orchard and fields, where participants learn about the different varieties of fruits and berries we grow, from the first blossoms of spring to the ripe and juicy harvests of summer and fall. Both programs provide hands-on learning experiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world and the hard work that goes into producing the food we enjoy.

Animal Tours
Meet our wide variety of farm animals, discuss the ways they are integrated to the farm, their habitats, diets, life cycles and the way they are cared for on the farm. Throughout your time here you’ll enjoy a relaxing hayride through our orchards, interact with the animals, enjoy lesson-based games, work with some fiber from the sheep or llamas, have an apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farmstand.
Bees & Beekeeping
Bees are one of the most important and underrated members of the farm community. Without bees, we would not have the delicious crops we crave all summer and fall, nor would we have a balanced ecosystem. Throughout your time here you’ll enjoy a relaxing hayride through our orchards to see where the bees do most of their pollinating, learn about the anatomy, habitat, behavior & function of bees, visit our bee hives, enjoy interactive games/lessons, and take home your very own honey stick. And last, but surely not the least, enjoy a fresh apple cider donut and a refreshing drink from our farmstand.
Gardening
From seed to root to flower to fruit, learn all that it takes to garden and grow the variety of fruits and veggies we offer right here on the farm! Take an informational hayride through our orchards to see our fruit trees and bushes up close and personal. Learn about the life cycles of a variety of plants, and then decorate your pot and do some planting of your own! You’ll also enjoy an apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farmstand.

Become an expert fruit picker here at Smolak Farms! At our farm, we offer a variety of seasonal fruits to choose from. Whether you are part of a school group, summer camp, scout troop, or looking for the perfect company outing – Smolak Farms is the place to go!
Bookings for the season begin in January, so secure your spot today, as these tours tend to fill up quickly. The minimum number for a group tour is 15 people.
Strawberries are our first crop of the year here at the farm. You and your group will load the wagons and take a wonderful tour of our historic farm. Then we’ll proceed to one of our strawberry fields where you pick from our plump, juicy, sweet strawberries! Enjoy an apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farm stand!
By far our most popular fruit-picking option! Enjoy a crisp fall day at our farm while you ride the wagon through beautiful New England Fall foliage. The wagon stops half-way through the orchard tour where you’ll get out and pick some apples as our tour guide explains the apple growing process, the many varieties of apple and the proper picking technique! While on your visit, you’ll also enjoy a fresh apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farm stand!
What says fall more than pumpkins, cider and a fresh apple cider donut? Our Fall Pumpkin Tour is a lovely wagon ride around the property capped off with a walk to the pumpkin patch just beyond our barn. Pick your own sugar pumpkin, and have a refreshing drink and a special snack from our farmstand!Note: that a $140 deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure your specific date and time
